Words...

 I've always been drawn to typography... it can really make or break a design and I love it when words are make into art! It's pretty incredible to see what can be done with creativity, imagination and a computer (In this case anyway... look at what THIS incredible girl can do with a pen and paper!).  Typography Art is really easy to find too, I just google it and there are landslide of sites available!

 I love the colors and distressing on this one.

 
 I can see trying something like this with leftover stickers!

Those are really cool examples. There was a Cricut Cartridge released awhile ago that has several cuts similar to the last example in your post (called Graphically Speaking). I have it but haven't used it much - might have to pull that out again soon! Thanks for the inspiration!
