Today is the day it begins... I know, I know, it's just blog...
But even just a blog can be a fabulous thing...
First of all, Thanks for coming by... I'm am so SO glad you're here, let me tell you why I am here...
You may, or may not know, that I have spent the last 6 years designing product for the scrapbook industry... which has been an intense, beautiful, painful, humbling and EXTREMELY learning experience. Whoa, the lessons I've learned... I am forever grateful for the lessons I've learned.
While I am, for the time being, taking a break from product development... I am desperately and joyfully relearning/discovering the creative passion that began this journey in the first place. I am going to scrapbook, (WITH WHATEVER SUPPLIES I WANT, teehee!) because my kids love looking through their albums... and there hasn't been anything new for them to lay out on there tummies and flip through. They need that, and I need to see that. Not to mention baby Christopher is now 7(!) months old...I have got to get going, well okay, I WANT to get going.
Of all the things I've learned while teaching scrapbooking classes around the country over the last few years, these two things really stood out... most scrapbookers want to make two-page layouts with 4x6 photos AND my scrapbooking style is... two-page layouts with 4x6 photos.
So, long story short, I am going to scrapbook and post my layouts at least twice a week here at Scrapburbia... on the other days it'll be color palettes, inspiration, photography, other inspiring blogs and pretty stuff. Should you feel so inclined, I would love for you to share your scrapbook pages, photos, and exciting finds with me too! I need all the help I can get...
